Founded in 1990, Milestone Growth Fund began with a modest $1.3 million to invest in small minority-owned businesses. Now nearly 15 years later, Milestone continues to be the only Minnesota venture capital fund that is focused on providing equity type financing to minority-owned companies.

Milestone has always been focused on helping minority entrepreneurs that are too risky to secure bank financing or too small for regular venture capital firms. Through financing and management assistance, we initiate a " ripple effect " in minority communities. When minority entrepreneurs grow their businesses, they hire people, improve local economies, increase the local tax base, encourage solutions to social problems, and inspire others to pursue the American dream.
