1990 to $26.2 million in 2003.
In total, Milestone has invested over $21 million
in 63 minority-owned and managed companies.
As of June 30, 2004, Milestone has over $7.5
million invested in 26 companies.
Current portfolio companies, as of September
2003, reported over $195 million in gross revenues,
$24 million in total payroll, 850 total employees,
almost 200 new jobs created, and $5.2 million in total
taxes paid.
Outstanding portfolio companies for each of the
last ten calendar years had an average of 805 full-time
employees, many of them newly created during each calendar
year – a magnificent
contribution to the local economies.
Total taxes paid by portfolio companies for the
past ten years is in excess of $37 million.
Milestone has attracted $45 in financing for its
clients for every dollar of donated capital it has
received.
Our clients have attracted $12 in additional financing
for every $1 invested by Milestone.
Despite Milestone's early stage investment focus,
the fund as of 12/31/03 has not lost any money of the
tax deductible contributions it has received since
it went into funding.
All gains or profits realized
by Milestone are reinvested.
